Salomon Men's XA Pro 3D Ultra GTX Review
I've been running for about twenty years but unfortunately I haven't been happy with my shoes for most of that time. Over the years I'd been spending more and more on large clunky motion control shoes and thick padded socks because that's what everyone told me I needed. I ran for a little under five miles on some great trails in Gladwyne this afternoon in the new shoes and I was amazed at how well they felt.
First, the lases are wonderful because they tighten up very quickly and easily. Normally, if the toes aren't tight enough it takes a few moments to adjust the laces down near the toes and then you have to pull the slack up to the top in an attempt to tighten uniformly but these are so easy. You just pull them tight, sinch the lock and that's it, they're uniformly tight. It took me a moment to figure out what to do with the excess laces, they fold up under the top of the tongue. Then, the shoes felt so great, they were snug without being tight and they felt so wonderful on the trail. I've gotten used to my feet getting a little wet when I crossed streams but I didn't feel any water at all in these shoes.
I've tried enough shoes to know that everyone is different and these shoes won't fit everyone as well as they fit me and other people will have problems but I must say that for me, wow, magic shoes, says it all for me...
