My use of this product is a bit out of the ordinary: I have been an anime cosplayer, or someone who as a hobby dresses in costumes from Japanese animation, for six years, and for a recent anime fan convention, I needed to make myself significantly taller than my actual height to play a character. I looked all over for a way to do so without being in pain all day, and these shoes provided the optimum solution of a combined heel and platform, the heel not tall enough to cause pain and pressure in my toes, the platform not so high as to make the shoe hideous when modified to look like the ones my character wore. Though obviously not everyone intends to use a pair of boots like this for the same purpose as I did, I did not modify the inside of the boots, so the comfort I felt while walking all day came from the design.
