I got the shoe in a timely manner. I ordered them because I was in need of a good outdoor shoe that was breathable, something for the summer. At first they seemed very comfortable.. At first.
I wore them every day over the first weekend after getting them. Went to the lake that Sunday.. got them wet and they performed pretty well. The major flaw is the strap that goes around the back where the pull tab is. It dug into my achilles tendon and left a tender mark for a few days. The sizing was right and it fit comfortable so I knew that wasn't the problem. When I was sitting still I was fine. but when I was walking.. that back strap would alternately chaffe and tighten around the back of my ankle with each step. I was set to go on a very light hike the following week and was looking forward to wearing these, unfortunately with it digging into my tendon.. I had to go with something else. I still wear these shoes.. just not for more than a couple of hours at a time. I would never walk great distances in these and if you want to order these for that purpose I suggest you buy something else. I guess since they are a boat shoe, they were intended for light use (not distance) but even than, after wearing these for a few hours you will notice the same discomfort.
I recommended these to a few friends the first day I had them. That was a mistake.
